» Electronic Design Engineer

Our client is currently seeking a Electronic Design Engineer to work within an established team of electronics/software/mechanical engineers, you will be adaptable, flexible in approach, and with broad experience covering a range of electronic engineering disciplines. Work will involve carrying out electronic engineering across the full product lifecycle including requirements capture, system and circuit design, development of hardware and embedded software, verification and validation, and product support.

The role will also involve assisting with proposals for customers and potential visits to customer sites. In the more senior roles, you will also act as Team Leader and System Design Authority on designated bids and programmes to ensure that the requirements are being met fully in line with customer expectations.You will have been working within the defence/aerospace industry, and possess a high level of communication skills including good specification and report writing skills, and will have a high degree of professionalism.
Discrete electronics design and schematic capture, High Speed Digital systems and Analogue Electronics

EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
FPGAs; DSPs; Power PCs; high voltage/current electronics. VHDL, Embedded C
Schematic capture e.g. Orcad, FPGA development tools DO-254/DO-178BXilinx, Actel and Altera ToolsMentor Graphics, modelsim
Applications, Avionics, Communications
Safety critical systems, Data Communications, Voice Communications, Security and Encryption
Has worked for aerospace/defence company Requirements capture; design verification.
Senior Engineer level; Team Leadership ability
