» Senior Scientist, Chemistry R&D

Our client currently has a position for a Senior Scientist within the Chemistry R&D Team in Cambridge.

In this role you will contribute significantly to the material design strategy to enhance performance of P-OLED materials; design and prepare new conjugated Monomers and polymers to high standards as well as performing synthetic organic chemistry transformations and provide effective line management to develop and support chemistry team members.

A PhD or equivalent in chemistry, you will have excellent knowledge of a wide
variety of chemical transformations. Your significant practical synthetic organic chemistry experience will include small and large laboratory scale, preparation of quality study forms, reports and IP filings. You should also be able to write, initiate and follow procedures and protocols and have experience of performing safety, COSHH and risk assessments of chemical processes. In addition you will have proven leadership skills coupled with excellent problem solving abilities.
